Absolutely. Your voice recordings never leave your device and are never sent to any server. The processing happens locally on your computer, making Chirp ideal for confidential or sensitive information. There's no account required, no data collection, and no cloud storage of your voice.
When you finish recording, Chirp automatically inserts your transcribed text into your active window, right where your cursor is positioned. This happens in addition to copying the text to your clipboard, so you can also paste it elsewhere if needed. If you prefer not to use auto-paste, you can disable it in settings and rely on manual pasting instead.
